However, the volume of tourists has decreased compared to previous years, prompting a call for innovation and quality enhancement. “Tulum no longer lives the boom of five years ago, but it remains attractive. The challenge is reinventing itself, offering authentic experiences, and raising quality standards,” Sacramento emphasizes.

External factors such as security concerns, mobility issues, and deficiencies in public services undeniably impact business performance. Yet, Sacramento insists on the importance of introspection within the commercial sector. “We must ask ourselves what we are doing wrong, how we treat the customer, and how we promote ourselves. In such a competitive destination, it’s not enough to open the doors: you have to offer something different and of quality,” he concludes.
