World Oceans Day ignites climate action in Tulum, with a unique symposium blending community, creativity, and sustainability to honor and protect the planet’s blue heart. On June 8, in celebration of World Oceans Day 2025, ReFi Tulum and Delek are coming together to host a transformative gathering aimed at inspiring concrete environmental action.
A meeting of awareness and celebration
Beginning with a morning yoga session, the Ocean Symposium at Delek Tulum sets the tone for a day rooted in presence, mindfulness, and connection to nature. Throughout the event, guests will engage in ocean conservation talks, sound healing sessions, and artistic performances that pay tribute to marine life and foster collective reflection.
One of the featured participants, Michael Lande, founder of Vortex Vitality Spa and Clinic, will share insights on self-regeneration and its profound link to environmental healing. His message aligns perfectly with the event’s holistic vision: that personal wellbeing and planetary care are deeply intertwined.
Art, space, and a message beyond Earth
A highlight of the symposium is the newly announced partnership between ReFi Tulum and BitBasel. Together, they will send locally crafted artworks inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 14 to the moon. This bold symbolic gesture emphasizes how creativity can expand global consciousness, even beyond Earth, drawing attention to the urgency of preserving marine ecosystems.
Ana Couchonal, founder of Delek, echoes this ethos with her words: “We believe in Radical Love, love for nature, for community, and for the Earth.” Her statement reflects the spirit of the event, where every detail embodies a commitment to sustainability and reverence for life.
Tulum’s World Oceans Day: a call to regenerate
World Oceans Day ignites climate action in Tulum not only through powerful symbolism but through real community engagement. Backed by aligned sponsors such as Gaia AI and Huddle Puddle, the event is part of ReFi Tulum’s broader mission to regenerate both ecosystems and local economies.
Open to all, the symposium will run from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM at Delek Tulum, located on Boca Paila Road KM 7. It invites locals, tourists, environmentalists, and artists to join in a day of meaningful connection, celebration, and action.
At a time when climate challenges can feel overwhelming, this gathering offers something rare: a shared space to reconnect, take action, and believe in the possibility of change. In Tulum, World Oceans Day is more than a date on the calendar, it’s a living call to rise together in defense of our planet’s most vital resource.
